Working closely with the Pathways Coordinator and other staff, this position helps maintain the alumni network through communication, events, outreach, and recordkeeping. The JAG-NM CAAN Coordinator will assist with recognizing alumni achievements, promoting networking opportunities, and encouraging graduates to remain engaged as mentors, volunteers, and advocates for JAG-NM. This position provides valuable experience in nonprofi t administration, communications, event planning, and relationship management while offering a fl exible work schedule that supports academic success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The JAG-NM CAAN Coordinator will: ● Maintain regular communication with JAG-NM alumni through email, phone, and social media. ● Assist with planning and coordinating alumni events, networking opportunities, and recognition activities. ● Update and maintain alumni contact information and engagement records. ● Collect alumni success stories for newsletters, reports, grant applications, and marketing materials. ● Support graduating participants as they transition into the JAG-NM Alumni Network. ● Assist with preparing communications, newsletters, and social media content. ● Provide administrative support for alumni initiatives, meetings, and special projects. ● Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of JAG-NM. Schedule This is a flexible part-time position, generally working 10–20 hours per week based on the student's Federal Work-Study award and class schedule. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to support alumni events or organizational activities. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications Successful candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable using Microsoft Offi ce and Google Workspace, and be able to work independently in a remote environment. Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding. Previous participation in JAG or experience with student organizations, customer service, or event planning is preferred but not required.
