ABOUT THE ROLE

Cherub Baby is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Amazon Channel Manager to own and grow our Amazon business across five international marketplaces.

This is a hands-on role. You will be accountable for the channel's monthly gross profit, and responsible for everything that drives it: advertising, listings, inventory, launches and account health. You will set the strategy and carry it out yourself.

Our Amazon channel has grown strongly over the past 12 months. We have expanded from Australia (20 parent SKU’s) and the United Kingdom (10 parent SKU’s) into Germany and the United States (2 parent SKU’s each), and we are preparing to launch in Spain. We need someone who can build on that momentum.

When a problem or opportunity comes up on Amazon, we expect you to investigate it, decide the best course of action and see it through. Your goal is to grow profitable Amazon sales while keeping the accounts healthy, rankings strong, stock in place and listings high quality.

WHY WORK WITH US?

We're a small business, so your work has a direct and visible impact on company results. You'll have real ownership of the Amazon channel and the freedom to test ideas and put improvements in place.

As the channel reaches agreed profit milestones, we plan to add an assistant to support you. This gives the right person the chance to grow into leading the channel with a team.

Benefits include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Channel Ownership & Commercial Performance

  • Own the monthly gross profit target for the Amazon channel across all marketplaces
  • Monitor daily and weekly sales, profitability, advertising performance and account health
  • Investigate why sales or profit changed, not just that they changed, and act on it
  • Track competitor activity, pricing, promotions and category trends
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with clear, specific recommendations
  • Identify and carry out new opportunities to grow the channel

Amazon Advertising

  • Create, manage and optimise Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns
  • Manage keywords, search terms, bids and budgets across multiple marketplaces
  • Analyse ACOS, TACOS, ROAS and overall advertising profitability
  • Continuously test strategies that improve both paid sales and organic ranking

Listings & Conversion

  • Write and optimise titles, bullet points, descriptions and backend search terms
  • Manage images, videos and A+ Content
  • Carry out keyword research and SEO for each marketplace, including localised listings for non-English markets
  • Manage parent/child variations and catalogue structure
  • Resolve suppressed listings, catalogue errors and listing conflicts

Product Launches & Marketplace Expansion

  • Manage new product and new marketplace launches from start to finish
  • Research keywords and competitors, prepare listings and plan launch advertising
  • Manage Amazon Vine enrolments
  • Monitor launch performance and adjust strategy quickly

Inventory & Forecasting

  • Forecast FBA inventory needs for each marketplace, allowing for production, freight and clearance lead times
  • Monitor stock levels and weeks of cover, and flag stock-out risks early
  • Work with our supply chain team on replenishment and FBA shipment planning
  • Manage aged inventory and recommend ways to clear excess stock

Account Health & Compliance

  • Monitor Account Health dashboards and respond quickly to warnings and policy issues
  • Submit appeals, supporting documents and compliance information when requested
  • Coordinate EU product compliance and documentation with our EU Responsible Person and internal team
  • Follow Seller Central support cases through to resolution

Reviews & Customer Experience

  • Monitor ratings and reviews across all marketplaces
  • Identify recurring complaints or product issues and escalate them internally
  • Recommend listing or product improvements based on customer feedback

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • At least 3 years of hands-on end to end Amazon Seller Central experience managing a retail brand
  • A proven track record of growing an Amazon account's sales and profitability. Be ready to share examples with numbers.
  • Experience managing multiple Amazon marketplaces
  • Experience with FBA inventory management and forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent written and spoken English
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and stay motivated in a fully remote role

Highly Regarded

  • Amazon Advertising (PPC) skills
  • Amazon UK, EU (especially Germany or Spain), US or Australian marketplace experience
  • Launching brands into new Amazon marketplaces
  • EU product compliance or Amazon documentation requests
  • Brand Registry, Vine, A+ Content, promotions and coupons
  • Seller Central account health cases and appeals
  • Consumer, baby or electrical products
  • Helium 10, Jungle Scout, DataDive, Sellerboard or similar tools
  • Asana and Slack

THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Commercially minded: you think in sales, margin and profit, not tasks completed
  • Proactive: you spot problems and opportunities before anyone asks
  • Analytical: you want to understand why the numbers moved
  • Resourceful: when you hit an unfamiliar Amazon issue, you figure it out
  • Accountable: you treat the channel as your own and follow things through
  • Self-directed: you thrive working remotely and manage your own day without close supervision

We don't want someone who waits to be given a list of tasks. We want someone who treats Amazon as their channel to manage and grow.

WORKING HOURS

This is a full-time, fully remote position. You must be available predominantly during Melbourne, Australia business hours and be comfortable working with an international remote team.
