Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Americas Functional Consulting team, including senior professionals and people leaders; set clear priorities, build capability, manage performance and succession, promote inclusion, and attract and retain strong talent.
- Own regional execution of the customer-adoption program in partnership with Customer Success Managers. Prioritize accounts using customer outcomes, adoption health, annual recurring revenue, retention risk, contractual commitments, and growth potential.
- Establish and maintain one coordinated adoption plan per customer, beginning during implementation where appropriate and covering stabilization, core adoption, expansion, optimization, and sustained value realization. Ensure plans identify outcomes, milestones, owners, risks, dependencies, and measures of success.
- Align the consulting team with the regional and global Customer Success organization so adoption definitions, health measures, account priorities, engagement models, and customer communications are consistent. Clarify ownership and handoffs among Customer Success Managers, global adoption, project management, technical consulting, support, product, sales, and quality teams.
- Act as a trusted partner to Customer Success leadership and account teams by providing timely visibility to customer health, adoption progress, value realization, escalations, resource constraints, and recommended interventions.
- Manage team capacity and deployment across implementation, adoption, acceleration-plan, non-billable intervention, training, pre-sales, and escalation support. Maintain an accurate resource forecast, make explicit prioritization decisions, and ensure effort is aligned to the highest-value customer outcomes.
- Drive disciplined delivery and measurable impact, including implementation readiness, adoption milestones, time to value, utilization, customer satisfaction, quality, margin, retention support, and expansion enablement. Establish clear operating rhythms and follow through on commitments.
- Use industry experience, equipment knowledge, software expertise, and consultative skills to guide solution design and enablement for predictive analytics, asset performance management, and other digital offerings.
- Build repeatable methods, templates, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing practices that improve implementation consistency and adoption outcomes across the team. Promote practical use of automation and AI within approved governance.
- Use Lean as the team’s operating system to focus on customer value, standard work, daily management, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement. Integrate applicable quality frameworks and customer-focused KPIs into team execution.
- Use voice-of-customer, employee-engagement, and delivery feedback to improve team effectiveness and customer experience. Create an environment in which team members raise risks early, learn from mistakes, and act on feedback.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges, industry trends, and customer needs to recommend improvements to products, services, processes, and go-to-market execution. Represent the Americas consulting perspective in cross-functional decisions.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and customer escalations with moderate-to-high risk or ambiguity. Communicate clearly with leaders and customers, challenge conflicting or incomplete information, negotiate priorities, and mobilize the right resources to achieve outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial software, asset performance management, asset integrity, reliability, plant maintenance, engineering consulting, or a closely related field, including significant experience in customer-facing services and complex enterprise implementations.
- Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading experienced consulting professionals and/or people leaders across geographically dispersed teams. Demonstrated success driving team performance, developing talent, optimizing resource deployment, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes in complex, customer-facing environments.
- Proven record of advising senior customer stakeholders, leading high-complexity engagements and escalations, and translating technical and operational expertise into adoption, value realization, retention, and growth.
Desired Characteristics
- Deep domain expertise in one or more relevant industrial sectors, with a strong understanding of asset integrity, risk-based inspection, reliability, plant maintenance, predictive analytics, data quality, and asset performance management.
- Broad experience advising multiple enterprise customers across countries, operating environments, and regulatory contexts; able to adapt proven practices without losing consistency or rigor.
- Recognized technical and consultative credibility with customer executives, engineering and maintenance leaders, practitioners, and internal product teams; able to challenge assumptions and guide consequential decisions.
- Demonstrated success moving customers beyond implementation to sustained adoption and measurable value realization, including the ability to diagnose data, process, capability, and change-management barriers.
- Experience establishing operating mechanisms across Consulting, Customer Success, Product, Sales, Support, and Quality, with transparent measures, clear decision rights, and effective escalation paths.
- Evidence of external professional leadership—such as participation in industry standards bodies, technical committees, conferences, publications, or professional communities—is highly valued.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical and business issues clearly to executives and customers.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a record of coaching senior talent, building followership, and creating accountability in a matrixed organization.
