Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.​ Scope of Position This highly motivated, detail-oriented and data-driven individual will be part of the Global Trade Compliance Team and will be responsible for the daily management of the Watts’ global trade compliance program. This position is responsible for supervision of the Americas Global Trade Compliance Specialist. This position reports to the Global Trade Compliance Manager. This role is hybrid or remote, depending on candidate location. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage the Americas’ portion of the Watts’ imports/exports program, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Liaise with local Customs officials as needed, to facilitate the movement of goods Manage the daily import/export activity for the Americas region Manage and maintain the global Watts’ product dictionary to include HTS, ADD/CVD, ECCN, materials etc. Prepare internal monthly Customs reports Analyze and manage the daily exceptions, to define root cause and corrective actions Review and publish the Americas’ vendor shipping instructions and customs broker SOP Manage the export program to include export controls, diversion risk Participate in and support projects as necessary Prepare and file any post entry corrections with applicable Customs offices Review any new Antidumping Duty and Countervailing Duty Cases (ADD/CVD) and determine if Watts’ goods are covered, maintaining all information in Tradeflow and master data spreadsheet of results Provide training to business units on trade topics as necessary Required Qualifications Knowledge of U.S. and Canada Customs’ import and export laws and regulations Knowledge of U.S. and Canada antidumping duties, laws and regulations Experience with Free Trade Agreements including USMCA, GSP Ability to interface with all Watts’ internal departments Capability to represent the company with regards to all import/export-related government agencies and external consultants when required Ability to coordinate and deliver project goals and objectives within a defined time period in a cross-functional environment Ability to be proactive in recognizing and adjusting to shifting priorities Self-motivated and directed, capable of operating semi-autonomously Excellent oral and written communication skills P.C. experience and skills, specifically EXCEL, WORD, and Outlook BA/BS with 4 to 5 years relevant import/export operational and compliance experience Proficient in English; additional languages a plus General Applicable Company Competencies Commitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency Punctuality and dependability Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts’ employees Adherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action Working Conditions While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to, and work in, the office for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management. Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive tasks, like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment Pay Range The expected salary range for this position is $104,000- $120,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
