You will have a direct impact on Qonto's compliance framework as we prepare for our banking license, handling complex fraud patterns and mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with your manager Amilcar , to refine our controls and shape a secure environment for our customers. 🧑‍💻👩‍💻 As an AML Officer at Qonto, you will: • Investigate complex alerts: Handle transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reports (processing around 25 alerts per day) with a high degree of autonomy. • Perform quality controls: Conduct 1st-level controls and internal checks to verify the team's work and ensure strict adherence to internal procedures. • Drive continuous improvement: Autonomously challenge existing processes, identify gaps, and manage projects to improve our daily operational efficiency. • Mentor and share knowledge: Act as a referent for the team by coaching peers, sharing expertise on complex cases (such as accounting, sanctions, and terrorism financing). • Manage stakeholders: Serve as a reliable point of contact for complex compliance topics, interacting confidently with internal teams and external auditors or regulators when necessary. 🤔 What you can expect: • Market/Team Context: A fast-paced, hyper-growth environment where you will tackle a critical backlog on the French market alongside a wider European team of 40+ AML Officers. • Methodologies, how we work, and what we value: A strong Lean and continuous improvement mindset where you are expected to autonomously challenge the status quo and improve processes. • Exciting career opportunities: Real internal mobility prospects and a clear path for growth fueled by our upcoming banking license. • Responsibilities and decision-making: The autonomy to handle complex cases involving tax returns, sanctions, and embargoes, actively mitigating risks for the company. 🏅 About You: • Experience: You have 1 to 3 years of experience in transaction monitoring and AML/CFT, preferably in a traditional bank or a Fintech. • Technical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of terrorism financing, sanctions, and embargoes, ideally with accounting knowledge • Continuous Improvement Mindset: You are not just executing tasks; you know how to autonomously identify bottlenecks, challenge processes, and manage continuous improvement projects. • Mentorship & Communication: You are comfortable sharing your knowledge to coach colleagues and interacting professionally with auditors and regulators. • Languages: You are fluent in both French and English to communicate effectively with our international teams and local stakeholders.
