Job Summary:
We're hiring 3 AML Analysts.
As an AML Analyst, you'll play a key role in safeguarding the organization by detecting and investigating potentially suspicious transactions. You'll assess customer and account activity, analyze transaction monitoring alerts, and deliver clear, well-supported findings. Your expertise and judgment will help ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to a strong culture of risk management and financial integrity.
If you're detail-oriented, investigative by nature, and passionate about protecting the financial system, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Review transaction monitoring alerts and determine whether they can be closed or require escalation.
- Analyze customer profiles, account activity, and transaction patterns using a risk-based approach.
- Identify activity that may involve money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime risks.
- Document the information reviewed, analysis completed, decision made, and reason for any escalation.
- Complete assigned alerts accurately and within established service, quality, and productivity targets.
- Follow AML/ATF procedures, client requirements, and quality standards while protecting confidential information.
- Request additional information when needed and raise questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain current knowledge of AML/ATF requirements, FINTRAC guidance, and common financial crime trends.
What you'll have:
- 3+ years of relevant financial crimes experience, preferably in AML/ATF compliance.
- College diploma or university degree in business, finance, criminology, law, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in financial services, AML/ATF, fraud, compliance, investigations, or a related area is preferred.
- Basic understanding of money laundering, terrorist financing, and AML/ATF regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and sound judgment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new AML/ATF procedures, systems, and guidance.
- CAMS or a similar certification is an asset but is not required.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
