AML Analyst – KYC & Australian Compliance | WFH
Offshore 24/7Job Description
This is a remote position.
About the role
The Compliance Desk is Offshore 24/7’s compliance support service for Australian real estate, accounting and legal businesses managing their obligations under Australia’s AML/CTF framework.
You will manage AML/KYC workflows across a portfolio of Australian client businesses, working inside each client’s chosen compliance platform and processing the information and documentation held there. You will maintain audit-ready records and provide clear escalations for each client’s locally accountable Compliance Officer to review and sign off. You will communicate with the Australian client businesses, not their customers.
What you’ll do
· Initiate, review and track customer due diligence and identity-verification requests within each client’s compliance platform.
· Review information and documentation already held in the client’s system, identify gaps and follow up with the Australian client business through the agreed workflow.
· Review sanctions, politically exposed person and adverse-media screening results, resolve straightforward false-positive matches within approved procedures and escalate potential or uncertain matches.
· Support enhanced due diligence for higher-risk, overseas or politically exposed customers.
· Monitor transaction-monitoring dashboards across assigned client accounts and action or escalate alerts in accordance with each client’s AML/CTF program.
· Maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready records in line with applicable requirements and each client’s procedures.
· Prepare draft content for Suspicious Matter Reports and Threshold Transaction Reports where applicable, for the client’s Compliance Officer to review, finalise and lodge.
· Manage priorities across multiple Australian client accounts and provide backup coverage for team members during leave or absence.
· Protect confidential information and follow all privacy, information-security and escalation procedures.
· Complete Offshore 24/7’s AML/CTF training program and keep required training records current.
Requirements
· A bachelor’s degree in any discipline; finance, business, accounting or legal studies are preferred.
· At least two years’ experience in KYC, AML, customer due diligence or a related risk and compliance role, ideally in a BPO, banking, fintech or financial-services environment.
· Hands-on experience with identity verification, sanctions, PEP or adverse-media screening, and case-escalation workflows.
· Strong written English and excellent attention to detail, with the discipline to produce documentation that can withstand audit review.
· Sound judgement and the confidence to recognise when a matter can be handled under procedure and when it must be escalated.
· The ability to manage several client accounts and changing priorities without losing accuracy or follow-through.
· Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am–3:00 pm Philippine time.
Nice to have
· CAMS certification, or currently working towards it.
· Experience supporting Australian clients or working on an Australia-facing account.
· Exposure to real estate, property services, accounting, bookkeeping or legal businesses.
· Experience using KYC, identity-verification, transaction-monitoring or compliance case-management platforms.
Training and development
Direct experience with Australia’s Tranche 2 AML/CTF reforms is not required. You will complete structured onboarding covering the Australian AML/CTF framework, relevant designated services, customer due diligence, screening, escalation, reporting requirements and each client’s specific program and platform. Ongoing training and refreshers will be provided as requirements and client procedures evolve.
As the Compliance Desk grows, strong performers will have opportunities to progress into Team Lead or QA Reviewer positions.
