Your Contribution
Help ensure accurate financial reporting and accounting compliance by supporting day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting, and audit requirements for Newmont Argentina. Your work will contribute to reliable financial results and strong internal controls across the business.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Support general ledger accounting activities, including revenue, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, intercompany transactions, and royalties.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with treasury and cash accounting activities.
- Support monthly and year-end financial close activities.
- Help prepare financial reports in compliance with IFRS and local accounting requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across functions to improve processes and maintain strong financial practices.
Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards; exposure to US GAAP is an asset.
- Understanding of audit processes and internal controls.
- Experience using accounting systems; SAP and BPC experience is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- English (desire).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Mining or other extractive industry experience is helpful but not required.

- This is a collaborative role within the Finance team where you'll work closely with colleagues across the business to support financial reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Work schedule: 5x2, remote or hybrid.
