Your role
As Analyst, Revenue Optimization, you are responsible for ensuring that sales targets are met by applying ad inventory management and pricing strategies to optimize TV schedule revenue potential.
You will be responsible for proactively monitoring inventory utilization and adjusting rates based on market demand. You will also work on media research projects-such as analyzing Numeris data—and provide audience forecasts and rate justifications for seasonal programming schedules. Finally, you will prepare audience tracking tools and performance analyses (both individual and overall) for programs, interpreting the results to adjust revenue generation strategies and forecasts as needed.
You will design, develop, and optimize dynamic reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics and Power BI Desktop. Using the Cognos Analytics environment, you will handle the maintenance and evolution of existing reports.
You contribute to the renewal of direct client agreements by proposing negotiation strategies and commercial offer parameters to the sales teams.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
- University degree in marketing or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of relevant industry experience
Skills:
- Ability to analyze and present data reports in an innovative and accessible way;
- Ability to extract, analyze, and model data to generate accurate reports and actionable recommendations;
- Technical proficiency: Windows (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), Google Suite, IBM Cognos Analytics, databases and information systems (Numeris, Infosys, Instar TV/VAM, TAM), and ability to quickly learn internal tools (MRO, Rates & Rating Tool, Onair);
- Priority management: Meeting various deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrating rigor and attention to detail;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Bilingualism is an asset;
- Knowledge of the media industry, media buying agencies, and/or experience in the television and digital media is an asset.
