Role Summary: Our Data Analytics function is expanding their scope from foundational Business Intelligence to gain insights from more complex data sources. This role will be essential in unlocking more of our internal data for business and product development leadership to help them plan and make strategic decisions for Daon’s continued growth and development. Key responsibilities will be assisting and consulting in the maintenance and improvement of our existing data warehouse and reporting interfaces, as well as building out new data pipelines and analytics capabilities. A strong drive to work independently and to always maintain the highest standards and keep up with evolving technologies and best practices is essential, as is the ability to recognize value in data and the ability to communicate this to business stakeholders. What You'll Do: Develop, optimize, and maintain core business and SaaS product metrics, focusing on product usage, customer behavior, and revenue analytics. Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines to support analytics and reporting across finance, product, sales, and company leadership. Refactor and optimize dbt projects, streamline model structure, and enhance semantic layers. Lead migration and cleanup of legacy data sources and pipelines to reduce technical debt and increase reliability and performance. Manage and optimize the Snowflake environment, including access, cost controls, performance tuning, and maintenance of tables. Assist in maintenance of analytics models supporting CRM and go-to-market reporting, including HubSpot pipeline and activity data. Document data models, pipelines, and key metrics to support consistent reporting and self-service analytics. Continuously assess and implement new analytics tools and capabilities, such as reverse ETL or AI-enabled workflows, where business value is clear and measurable. Knowledge & Experience: Experience as a data or analytics engineer using modern analytics stacks. Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with dbt in production environments. Experience working with cloud data warehousing platforms; familiarity with Snowflake preferred. Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and semantic layer design for analytics and reporting. Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and software engineering best practices for analytics workflows. Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly object storage and data ingestion. Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau. Previous exposure to Python and emerging AI-enabled analytics tools is advantageous. Experience with SaaS business models, including product usage as well as relevant revenue metrics preferred but not essential. What You Have: Bachelor's degree (any discipline) with ECTS grade A/B+ or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience as a data/analytics engineer, strong SQL skills, and at least one year using dbt. Proficient with CI/CD methodologies. Familiarity with AWS services, especially object storage. Understanding of metrics and log observability tools. Skillful with data visualization tools such as Tableau. Experience with data warehousing platforms, Snowflake preferred, including RBAC. Prior experience with Python and agentic AI tools is preferred. Fluent in English.
