About the role

We are looking for an Android Software Engineer to support ongoing mobile development and upcoming release activities.

The role involves working closely with a distributed engineering team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to Android application development, release preparation, troubleshooting, and production support. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of tasks and collaborating across different time zones.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Android development and Kotlin
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
• Good understanding of Android application architecture and development practices
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git and standard software development workflows
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, distributed environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
• Contribute to development using Kotlin Multiplatform
• Support upcoming release activities, including testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Investigate and fix application issues and production bugs
• Collaborate with Back-End and other engineers on application features and integrations
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Support critical release or production issues when required

Availability expectations

• Strong overlap with the US Pacific Time zone, including availability until 12 PM PT
• Occasional additional availability may be required during releases, demos, or critical production incidents
