Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Animation is looking for an experienced Animator to work on the 2D animated series, Series Name. This will be a high-quality and high-complexity TV series looking to achieve premium quality in both visual style and storytelling.

The Animator will use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story in a visual form through animation.

All applicants must be proficient at advanced rigged animation in Toon Boom Harmony with traditional 2D animation skills and previous work experience in television to be considered.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• The animator will read through scripts, create storyboards and animations, and create and edit animations and will work with the story editors to merge the various layers of animation.
• Use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story in visual form.
• Conceptualize ideas for characters, scenes, backgrounds, and other animation elements.
• Build up accurate, detailed, frame-by-frame visuals.
• Create final, fully posed, colored and inbetweened character animation based on storyboards, embellishing character action, emotion, and comic timing.
• Develop the timing and pace of the movements of a character or object during the sequence of images and ensure they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements.
• Record dialogue and work with editors to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters, and graphics) in order to produce the finished piece.
• Work in a timely fashion, adhering to the production schedule and deadlines.
• Take feedback from the Episode Director and Story Editors and make the necessary alterations.

Qualifications & Experience...

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Previous work experience in television animation preferred.

EDUCATION:

• Advanced education/degree not required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/SOFTWARE:

• Must be proficient at advanced rigged animation in Toon Boom Harmony.

Preferred…

• Must have an online portfolio that demonstrates strong drawing, artistic, painting, and texturing skills.
• Must have strong understanding of animation principles.
• Must be able to animate in the style of the series.
• Must have a strong understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of production personnel both verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong organization and time management skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and complete work on schedule.
• Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible.
• Ability to be proactive and anticipating potential problems before they occur and communicate progress of work to appropriate production staff.
• Open to all formal and informal creative reviews with the ability to understand art notes and adapt them to tasks with vivid imagination and creativity.
• Ability to articulate creative ideas.
• Ensure all artwork is properly backed up and stored appropriately
