🇨🇳China🏢Hybrid📁Marketing
Is this job info correct?

What you’ll do You will develop and execute regional marketing and communications plans for APAC, ensuring global priorities are translated into locally relevant campaigns for China, Japan, and other priority markets. You will lead integrated campaigns around key regional moments, including external events, owned events, partner activations, media briefings and customer engagement opportunities. You will work with local PR agencies and partners to develop, localize, and distribute press releases, thought-leadership content and customer stories. You will coordinate social and digital activations across relevant regional channels, including the website, LinkedIn and WeChat. You will partner with Sales, Product, Communications, and Events to align customer messaging, event plans, speaker briefings, and go-to-market activities. You will help build stronger relationships with automotive OEMs, technology partners, agencies, media, and other external stakeholders to support joint communications and partner marketing. You will create clear communications plans for priority events, defining the role of PR, social, content, media engagement, and post-event follow-up. You will track the impact of regional marketing and communications activities, using insights, feedback, reach, sentiment, and agreed benchmarks to continuously improve. You will stay close to local market trends, customer needs, cultural context, and media landscapes, acting as an expert advisor to global and local teams. The position will be based in Shanghai. What you’ll need You have strong experience in delivering impactful integrated campaigns across marketing, communications, PR and events, ideally in B2B technology, automotive, software, or a related sector. You are a natural storyteller who can shape clear, credible narratives for customers, partners, media, executives, and internal stakeholders. You understand how to turn global strategy into local action, with sensitivity to the differences between markets such as China, Japan, Korea, and the wider APAC region. You know how to work with agencies, set clear expectations, manage deliverables, and measure impact against agreed goals. You are comfortable working with Sales and Product teams to understand customer priorities, local market needs, and commercial context. You work well independently and are highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and approval processes across time zones and teams. You make decisions based on insights and are confident turning results, feedback, and learnings into practical recommendations. You are collaborative, proactive, and culturally aware, with strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across global and local teams. You are fluent in English, and Chinese. Additional language skills in Japanese are a strong advantage. What we offer A competitive compensation package, of course. Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning. Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities. Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize. It’s all about getting the best out of both worlds – we ask TomTom’ers to come to the office two days a week, and the remaining three are free to be worked in either location. Improve your home office with a setup budget and get extra support with a monthly allowance. Enjoy options to work from your home country and abroad for a set number of days each year, to visit family and friends, or to simply explore the world we’re mapping. Take the holidays you want with a competitive holiday plan, plus an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
