AP/AR Specialist (Freight and Logistics)

Who We Need We’re seeking an AP/AR Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing financial transactions related to freight operations—ensuring invoices are accurate, payments are processed on time, and discrepancies are identified and resolved efficiently. What You'll Do: Accounts Receivable Management Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer billing, payment tracking, collections follow-ups, and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of receivables. Accounts Payable Processing Handle end-to-end accounts payable functions, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices, validating supporting documents, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. Financial Reconciliation Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, vendor accounts, and bank statements to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed. Financial Reporting & Month-End Support Assist in preparing accruals, supporting schedules, and other financial reports required for month-end closing. Ensure completeness and accuracy of reported figures. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve billing issues, clarify discrepancies, and support smooth financial operations across the business. What You Need: Experience working in freight forwarding, shipping lines, brokerage firms, or similar logistics environments, locally or internationally Strong understanding of shipping and logistics documents (e.g., BOLs, AWBs, packing lists, invoices, etc.) Hands-on experience in end-to-end AP and AR processes Detail-oriented with a strong background in data entry, validation, and reconciliation Proficient in using modern accounting systems and tools Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) Strong English communication skills (C1 level), both written and verbal Experience in client or stakeholder management is an advantage Why Expedock HMO & Leave Credits: Stay protected with healthcare benefits and use accrued leaves by your third month Supportive Remote Environment: Work from home alongside a collaborative team that values growth and mutual success.
