We are looking for an Application Consultant to join our global Presales team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will help shipbuilding and marine industry customers find the right solutions for their design, engineering, and information management challenges. You will combine technical expertise with customer interaction, delivering product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical guidance throughout the sales process. You will report directly to the Vice President, Solutions Consulting and Presales.

You'll be based in Japan and preferably work in a hybrid model.

In short, your job includes:

• Helping prospects understand how Cadmatic solutions support their shipbuilding and engineering workflows.
• Delivering tailored product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that show both technical and business value.
• Working closely with Sales on customer opportunities, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Maintaining demo environments and creating materials that support customer discussions and presentations.
• Collaborating with international Sales, Product Management, and R&D teams by sharing customer feedback and market insights.
• Supporting webinars, exhibitions, seminars, and other customer-facing activities.
• Keeping CRM information up to date and helping identify technical risks in presales engagements.

What helps you succeed in this role:

• Experience in shipbuilding, ship design, or marine engineering. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role such as application consulting, presales, or solution consulting (CAD/CAE preferred).
• Technical expertise in CAD solutions (preferably Cadmatic) and related engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in customizing product demonstrations to address specific customer requirements.
• The ability to connect technical capabilities with customer needs and business goals.
• Strong presentation and communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing multiple activities at the same time.
