The role requires strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and ServiceNow, along with the ability to work directly with Coast Guard users during TRT Roadshows to rapidly identify needs, develop prototype solutions, demonstrate capabilities, and capture requirements for follow-on development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop workflow automation using Power Automate and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
  • Support TRT Roadshows by engaging directly with Coast Guard personnel, conducting rapid discovery sessions, capturing requirements, and developing or demonstrating prototype applications and dashboards.
  • Translate mission and business needs into user stories, technical designs, data models, workflow logic, and application features.
  • Integrate Power Platform and ServiceNow solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs, databases, and approved enterprise systems.
  • Support process mapping, MVP development, user acceptance testing, demonstrations, and production transition.
  • Troubleshoot application, dashboard, workflow, and integration issues.
  • Develop technical documentation, release notes, user guides, and configuration records.
  • Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 8-12 years of experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 3+ years of application development, low-code development, or workflow automation experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency with:

    • ServiceNow
    • SharePoint / Microsoft 365
  • Experience developing dashboards, workflow solutions, and business applications.
  • Experience with APIs, SQL, JavaScript, or related integration technologies.
  • Strong customer-facing and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Ability to travel periodically to Coast Guard locations in support of TRT Roadshows and on-site rapid development activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Jira/Confluence.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Power Platform certification.
  • ServiceNow CSA and/or Certified Application Developer certification.
  • Experience supporting USCG, DHS, DoD, or other Federal agencies.
  • Experience delivering rapid prototypes or MVPs in customer-facing workshop or roadshow environments.
  • Familiarity with Appian, UiPath, or similar automation tools.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, Zero Trust, and Federal cybersecurity requirements.
