Work Arrangements: Permanent full time | 2 days work from home

Salary: $120,000 – $129,000 base plus super

Company Overview

BLACKROC is partnering with a leading community services provider to recruit an Application Specialist.

Role Purpose

You'll be the technical owner of the applications that frontline teams rely on every day, accountable for their configuration, technical health, vendor performance, operational readiness and continuous improvement. Working alongside business owners and vendors, you'll make sure these systems stay reliable, secure, well-governed and genuinely fit for purpose, rather than something people work around.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, configuration, access management, governance and lifecycle of the application portfolio, with a primary focus on eCase and Medisphere
• Plan, coordinate and oversee application upgrades, releases and maintenance, including impact assessment, testing and stakeholder communications
• Manage vendor performance, support quality, defect resolution and product roadmap engagement
• Lead continuous improvement through system optimisation, automation, feature adoption and the elimination of manual workarounds
• Provide application-level ownership and escalation management, coordinating resolution of complex issues with operations teams, vendors and technical specialists
• Assess and approve operational readiness for new and changed applications before transition into support
• Ensure backup, recovery and resilience requirements are defined, maintained and regularly tested
• Maintain application documentation, configuration records and cross-skilling practices to support operational continuity
• Report on application performance, availability, service levels, vendor performance, risks and improvement initiatives
• Participate in application security reviews and audits, and in critical incident response and after-hours support arrangements for owned applications

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated application administration or ownership experience with enterprise or SaaS platforms, specifically one or more of: Alayacare, PeoplePoint, AutumnCare/eCase, Deputy, Mirus, Medication Management, Sugar CRM
• Demonstrated vendor coordination and upgrade/release management experience
• Demonstrated continuous improvement delivery on owned or technical applications
• Effective stakeholder management and reporting skills
• Strong collaboration skills with commensurate communication, influence and negotiation ability
• Tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with care management, clinical, CRM or ERP platforms used in aged care, community services or health
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification
• Testing qualification or structured UAT experience
• Exposure to application portfolio management practices
