What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Application Production Support Engineer to join a mission-critical IT Production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business applications, while contributing to continuous service improvement and delivering high-quality IT services. You will play a key role in incident resolution, application monitoring, deployment activities, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to guarantee operational excellence and business continuity.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, contributing to root cause analysis and long-term solutions.

• Execute deployments, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes following ITIL and DevOps best practices.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and external service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

• Implement and enhance observability and monitoring solutions to proactively detect and prevent application failures.

• Document technical environments, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Monitor service quality through performance analysis, capacity monitoring, and reliability assessments.

• Support infrastructure evolution projects and contribute to the design and commissioning of new environments.

• Supervise and coordinate operational activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and service levels.

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure support for critical applications and services.

Your Key Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within complex production environments.

• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.

• Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Level Management.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.

• Proactive mindset focused on system reliability, observability, and continuous improvement.

• Ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

• Resilience, adaptability, and effective time management.

Your Main Qualifications

• More than 6 years of experience in Application Production Support, IT Operations, or similar roles.

• Experience with Java Application Servers, particularly Red Hat JBoss EAP.

• Knowledge of Java troubleshooting and performance analysis, including heap dumps, thread dumps, and performance optimization.

• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Cloud environments.

• Experience with API Gateway platforms such as Axway or Apigee.

• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, and ELK.

• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Nexus Sonatype.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform.

• Experience with relational databases, namely Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

• Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.

• Fluency in Portuguese.

• Advanced professional proficiency in English.
