Applied AI engineer

Role Description As an Applied AI Engineer at Elite Translations, you will design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that enhance translation workflows and multilingual content delivery. You will work closely with product, engineering, and linguistics teams to integrate machine learning models into production systems, optimize model performance, and ensure high-quality outputs across languages. Daily tasks include prototyping and evaluating AI models, automating language processing pipelines, monitoring system performance, and writing clean, maintainable code. You will also contribute to experimentation, documentation, and continuous improvement of AI capabilities. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Metro Manila, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) and experience with APIs, data structures, and version control.
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing, including experience training, evaluating, and refining models using common ML frameworks.
• Strong knowledge in langchain, langgraph, etc...
• Experience working with data pipelines and datasets, including data cleaning, labeling, feature engineering, and performance monitoring for AI systems.
• Foundational knowledge of agentic workflows and systems creation and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document designs and implementations clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working in a hybrid set-up in Metro Manila, with the ability to manage time, priorities, and communication across onsite and remote work.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) or MLOps tools, and interest in language technologies or localization is highly beneficial.
