Applied R&D Trainee

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee. In this role, you will have the chance to work with our Planning Tools SW Team and gain valuable insights into the software development process. As a trainee, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the development and improvement of our advanced AI-powered tools. Position: Internship
Duration: 12 months
Start date (tentative): November, 2026
Location: Hybrid in Carnaxide, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school.

• Assist in the development and testing of software applications, with a focus on AI-powered tools.
• Collaborate with senior developers to understand and implement best practices in software development.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Research and explore new AI technologies and their potential applications in software development.
• Document and communicate your findings and progress effectively within the team.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance your understanding of software development principles.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong interest and passion for algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency in using advanced AI-powered tools like Cursor and Claude.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
