We are partnering with a prominent Federal Government Department to recruit APS5 Investigations Officers and an APS6 Senior Investigations Officer for 12-month placements in Canberra.

• 📍 Location: Canberra ACT (Flexible/hybrid working available)
• 💰 Salary:
• APS5: $82,336 – $90,234 + Super
• APS6: $91,140 – $102,152 + Super
• 🗓️ Contract: 12 Months (Initial engagement with potential extension up to 18 months total)
• 🚀 Start Date: 2 November 2026
• 🔒 Clearance: Active Baseline Security Clearance required
  

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

Working within a dedicated Compliance & Legal branch, you will:

• Conduct complex regulatory and compliance investigations under federal legislation.
• Gather evidence, record interviews, and draft comprehensive briefs of evidence.
• Prepare clear, concise investigation reports and executive briefings.
• APS6 Level: Take the lead on complex matters, mentor junior staff, and provide high-level strategic support.
  
  

✅ What We Need From You

• Experience: Proven track record in compliance, regulation, or administrative law investigations.
• Skills: Strong statutory interpretation skills and top-tier report writing.
• Citizenship & Security: Australian Citizen with a Baseline Security Clearance and National Police Check.
• Impartiality: Ability to sign a mandatory declaration maintaining strict political neutrality and public impartiality during your tenure.
