Role Description The Architect role at YMY Tutoring is a remote, contract position focused on designing and evolving the technical and operational architecture that supports our tutoring services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing business and user requirements, defining system and platform architecture, and collaborating with internal teams and freelancers to ensure effective integration of tools and workflows. The Architect will design scalable and secure solutions to support online and hybrid tutoring models, document architectural decisions and standards, and provide guidance on implementation best practices to development and operations stakeholders. This role also involves coordinating with project owners to align architecture with strategic goals, optimizing performance and reliability of systems, and supporting continuous improvements across platforms and processes.

Qualifications
- Strong Architecture and Architectural Design skills for designing scalable, secure, and reliable systems and workflows.
- Experience in Software Development and Integration to collaborate effectively with technical teams and connect platforms, tools, and services.
- Proven Project Management abilities to plan, coordinate, and track architectural initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge of cloud-based and web technologies, preferably in education or SaaS environments, and familiarity with remote collaboration tools.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create concise documentation and present architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in distributed or freelance-based organizations is a plus; prior exposure to edtech or tutoring platforms is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
