Role description: This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines, Romania and India, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses. Arcadis' (Romania) office is seeking an experienced Architect I to join our dynamic Stations team based in GEC Romania, working with the Dutch team, contributing to a range of high-profile projects. Role accountabilities: Embrace and demonstrate the Arcadis behavioral framework in your day-to-day work. Prioritize your own safety and safety of others by understanding and following the Arcadis Health and Safety Principles. Manage and deliver architectural design tasks (Concept to CD), ensuring quality, budget and schedule compliance. Develop technically feasible design solutions, including layouts and detailed drawings, using BIM tools. Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Structures), including international project leads. Support design and design management activities through construction and building use stages. Support the team with technical drafting and design tools like Revit, while offering creative design ideas and visual presentations. Collaborate with global colleagues and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes, maintaining clear and consistent communications across time zones and cultures. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture or related discipline. Academic qualification or experience in construction engineering is an advantage Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design work. Experience in rail transportation buildings & utilities, technical building design and execution details is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to this role. Proven capability across all project stages, from concept and test fits through IFC and construction support. Strong understanding of station and transit facility planning, operational typologies, and passenger flow, with a clear understanding of how these shape architectural design. Advanced proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Visualization tools (Twinmotion, Enscape) is a plus. Experience working with international teams and global delivery models - experience working on European projects is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and a high level of knowledge in architectural and structural engineering are big pluses.
