ABOUT COLONIES Colonies is reinventing urban living by operating and managing fully furnished modern housing, in partnership with institutional and private investors. Upstream of operations, Colonies oversees renovation works for its residences, defines interior design, and handles furniture sourcing and installation. POSITION CONTEXT Fixed-term position (CDD) based in Paris, to cover a maternity leave, from late november 2026 to mid-september 2027. Your scope covers all Colonies projects (coliving, flatsharing, individual apartments) and spans both interior design definition for the residences and architectural follow-up of works (feasibility studies, plan reviews, site visits, compliance with Colonies standards). You will report to one of the team's two expert architects. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Design and projects follow-up Conducting initial feasibility studies for a project upon request from the Development team Producing plans based on automated surveys, and visiting residences to carry out feasibility assessments and take measurements Reviewing plans produced by our partners (developers, investors) Developing interior design in line with Colonies standards and each project's specificities, including furniture lists and detailed specifications (cahiers des charges) Participating in follow-up committees with external partners and supporting Project Managers on architectural and design matters Managing tenders with the Procurement team for the residence's FF&E/OS&E Producing furniture installation plans for our logistics providers and final plans for tenants Conducting site visits, follow-up, and supervision, particularly during the furniture installation phase Cross-teams Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the Colonies product, through ad hoc and thematic projects and/or competitive intelligence Continuously improving processes, templates, and databases Updating design and architecture documentation with Colonies product standards and training other teams Supporting the rollout of the sustainable design strategy (integrating standards into specifications, sourcing corresponding products) Working daily in close collaboration with the Development team (who negotiate and sign projects), the Procurement team (who source the right furniture partners and suppliers), and Project Managers (who manage execution of the works) PROFILE Education Architecture school Experience 3 to 5 years Keys skills Organization: prioritization, deadline management, multitasking, rigor and attention to detail Architecture: space design, planning and drawing, capability of following up construction sites, knowing the basics of french regulation, having already led a project from conception to opening Tools: excellent proficiency in AutoCAD ; proficiency in Excel, Adobe Suite, AI tools Interpersonal skills: comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and with on-site presence Languages: fluent English (written and spoken) and French Soft skills: authenticity, reliability, respect, and honesty PROCESSUS DE RECRUTEMENT HR screening call Interview with future manager Business case at home Case debrief with manager + Fit interview Département Architecture & Design Locations Paris Remote status Hybrid Employment type Temporary About Colonies Founded in 2017 Coworkers 60 Applicant tracking system by Teamtailor
