As Area Director, you will lead and develop a team of Account Managers responsible for some of Rightmove's most strategic New Homes partnerships. You will inspire high performance, strengthen customer relationships at every level and help shape the strategic direction of the New Homes business.

Alongside leading the team, you will personally own the relationships and revenue performance of several of the UK's largest developer partners. What you'll be doing

  • Lead and inspire: Create a high-performance environment where Account Managers are empowered, supported and challenged to deliver ambitious commercial goals.
  • Own strategic developer partnerships: Personally manage relationships with several of Rightmove's largest and most strategic developer partners, building trust with senior decision makers and positioning Rightmove as a valued long-term partner.
  • Own and grow revenue: Take direct responsibility for retention, revenue performance and growth across your strategic accounts, while ensuring the wider team delivers its commercial objectives.
  • Develop talent: Coach, motivate and develop your team through clear expectations, regular feedback, meaningful development plans and effective performance management.
  • Shape account strategy: Ensure robust, insight-led account planning that identifies customer priorities, commercial opportunities and clear actions to deliver measurable value.
  • Use insight to drive decisions: Translate customer, market and performance data into compelling stories and practical actions that improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate strategically: Work closely with peers, Product, Marketing and other commercial teams to influence strategy, improve ways of working and deliver stronger outcomes for New Homes customers.
  • Plan for success: Maintain the right focus and resources across your area, supporting recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and effective workload management.

What we're looking for

  • Proven success leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales or account management teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of protecting revenue and delivering sustainable growth.
  • Experience owning major or strategically important customer relationships and influencing at senior or board level.
  • An expert understanding of sales and account management, with the confidence to lead complex commercial conversations.
  • The ability to analyse data, identify trends and turn insight into clear customer and business actions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build confidence internally and externally.
  • A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach, with the judgement to balance people leadership, customer ownership and commercial delivery.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with confidence using AI tools, Excel and PowerPoint.

Success in this role looks like

  • A highly engaged, accountable and high-performing team.
  • Strong retention and sustainable revenue growth across major developer partnerships.
  • Trusted senior relationships with some of the UK's largest developer partners.
  • Consistent delivery against team and personal commercial targets.
  • Insight-led account management that creates measurable value for customers and Rightmove.
  • Positive influence on the wider strategic direction of the New Homes business.
