12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Great with people, calm under pressure and love getting to the bottom of a question? As an AskHR Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues who need support, helping them navigate HR questions and find clear, accurate answers. You don’t need to have built your career in HR already. If you’ve got brilliant customer service skills and you’re looking for an opportunity to develop within HR, this could be your next step. At EDF, Success is Personal, and we’ll give you the opportunity to grow your knowledge while making a real difference to our people.
The Opportunity
As an AskHR Advisor, you’ll join our Employee Services team, providing first-line support to employees and managers across the business. You’ll manage conversations through Live Chat, email and our case management system, helping people understand HR policies and making sure they get the right support. It’s an important role in the experience we give our people as we continue our journey towards An Electric Britain.
You’ll join us on a salary of circa £28,000 per annum on a 12-month fixed term contract, working full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The team works remotely from home, so there’s no requirement to regularly attend an office. We’re looking for someone based close to #Hove or #Exeter, giving you the flexibility to work from one of these offices if you’d like to.
Customer service is a big part of this role. You’ll need to be comfortable managing different queries, working with clear policies and processes, and taking ownership to get things resolved. You’ll work closely with colleagues across HR and Employee Services, building your HR knowledge as you go. So, if you’re proactive, organised and patient, with great people skills and an eye for detail, there’s plenty of opportunity to develop.
Across smart meters, heating and electric vehicles, EDF’s Customers business is helping to shape a smarter, energy-saving future. We’re proud to be a Sunday Times Best Places to Work Top 10 Very Big Organisation for two years running and a Highly Commended workplace for disabled employees.
Who You Are
We’re looking for an AskHR Advisor who enjoys helping people and can balance great customer service with accuracy and attention to detail. You could already have experience within HR, or you might have developed your skills in a busy customer service environment and be looking to start or develop a career in HR. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…
- Experience providing great customer service and managing customer or colleague queries
- Experience using digital channels such as Live Chat, email or case management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple queries and priorities
- A proactive approach, with experience taking ownership of queries or tasks through to resolution
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing HR queries through Live Chat, email and our case management system
- Giving employees and managers clear information and first-line guidance on HR policies and processes
- Taking ownership of queries, working with Employee Services and wider HR teams to make sure they’re resolved
- Keeping employee information and case records accurate, up to date and confidential
- Helping colleagues use our HR tools and resources while looking for opportunities to improve the service we provide
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a starting salary of circa £28,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
