The Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Reliability Manager to lead asset-reliability strategy, reliability engineering, asset performance management, preventive and predictive maintenance optimization, failure analysis, criticality assessment, reliability improvement programs, lifecycle management, and reliability data analytics.

The successful candidate will establish a proactive reliability culture and ensure critical assets achieve required levels of availability, maintainability, safety, performance, and lifecycle cost efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Reliability Strategy
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive asset-reliability strategy aligned with operational and business objectives.
  • Establish reliability standards, methodologies, governance, and performance requirements.
  • Develop short-, medium-, and long-term reliability improvement roadmaps.
  • Identify critical asset risks and prioritize reliability initiatives based on business impact.
  • Integrate reliability engineering with maintenance, engineering, operations, and capital-planning strategies.
Asset Performance Management
  • Establish asset-performance management practices for critical industrial assets.
  • Monitor asset health, reliability, availability, utilization, performance, and lifecycle condition.
  • Develop asset-performance dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Identify performance degradation and initiate corrective actions.
Asset Criticality
  • Develop asset-criticality assessment methodologies.
  • Evaluate assets based on:

  • Optimize maintenance tasks according to actual failure behavior and asset criticality.
  • Reduce unnecessary maintenance while protecting asset reliability.
Failure Mode Analysis
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for critical equipment and systems.
  • Identify failure mechanisms and their operational consequences.
  • Establish appropriate preventive, predictive, or redesign actions.
Root-Cause Analysis
  • Lead investigations into major, recurring, or high-impact asset failures.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have experience in Asset Reliability, Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, Maintenance Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Plant Engineering, or related fields.

The candidate should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading asset-reliability or reliability-engineering functions in industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive environments.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, equipment reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance optimization.
  • Extensive experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance, FMEA, RCA, failure analysis, criticality assessment, and reliability improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, condition monitoring, or related predictive-maintenance technologies.
  • Strong understanding of MTBF, MTTR, OEE, availability, failure rates, reliability modeling, and asset-performance metrics.
  • Experience managing CMMS/EAM systems and reliability data.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting equipment and maintenance data.
  • Experience identifying bad actors and leading structured failure-elimination programs.
  • Experience with asset lifecycle planning, obsolescence management, equipment replacement, modernization, and total cost of ownership.
  • Experience evaluating equipment reliability during design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
  • Strong experience working with OEMs, technical suppliers, contractors, and reliability-service providers.
  • Experience developing reliability business cases and managing reliability-improvement CAPEX.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety, asset-risk management, business continuity, and critical-equipment requirements.
  • Experience with Industrial IoT, predictive analytics, AI, digital twins, connected assets, or digital reliability platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience implementing TPM, Lean Maintenance, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or operational-excellence programs is advantageous.
  • Strong technical documentation, governance, reporting, and reliability-program management skills.
  • Experience leading reliability engineers, maintenance engineers, analysts, or technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, statistical, analytical, project-management, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of UAE and GCC industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, safety, and regulatory environments is advantageous.
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in reliability, asset management, maintenance, Lean Six Sigma, project management, or related disciplines are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, technical judgment, analytical, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate asset-risk and reliability data into practical engineering and maintenance actions.
  • Ability to balance reliability, safety, production, lifecycle cost, capital investment, and operational requirements.
  • Ability to manage complex reliability programs, technical risks, suppliers, budgets, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote and internationally distributed environment.
  • Strong reliability-focused, asset-centric, data-driven, technically rigorous, proactive, analytical, risk-aware, lifecycle-oriented, commercially conscious, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
