In this role, you will work closely with the Junior Channel Merchandiser, Channel Merchandiser and wider teams across Product Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, Central Planning, Allocation and Supply Chain. You will help translate sales, stock, availability, sell-through, size performance and market insights into practical recommendations that support better commercial decisions.
Your key responsibilities
As Assistant Channel Merchandiser, you will:
- Analyse sales, margin, stock, availability, sell-through, markdown, best sellers and slow movers across your assigned channel scope.
- Identify emerging commercial risks, opportunities and performance trends.
- Gather and interpret customer, partner, digital and competitor insights.
- Support channel assortment analysis, including width, depth, option productivity, price positioning and customer relevance.
- Prepare channel trading reviews that clearly communicate performance, commercial implications and recommended actions.
- Support promotional, campaign and launch analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Track agreed actions and assess their impact on sales, availability, sell-through, stock productivity and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, Central Planning, Allocation and Supply Chain to ensure channel insight reaches the right teams.
What you bring
You are structured, analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to look beyond the data and turn insights into clear observations and practical actions. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where trading performance, customer behaviour and stock productivity are key.
We are looking for someone with:
- Around 2–4 years of experience in channel merchandising, merchandising, e-commerce or with a third-party retailer.
- Experience analysing sales, stock, availability, customer behaviour or channel performance.
- Strong Excel, reporting and presentation skills.
- A good understanding of trading, allocation, assortment, width and depth, and customer behaviour.
- The ability to interpret best sellers, slow movers, size performance, availability gaps and stock imbalances.
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with different stakeholders.
- Commercial curiosity and a proactive mindset.
