The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is seeking a seasoned Assistant Controller to help lead our financial operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic financial planning within our firm. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a critical role in providing insights and recommendations to senior management, allowing for informed decision-making and the sustainable growth of the firm.

You will help supervise the accounting professionals and collaborate closely with department heads to monitor expenses against budget allocations and optimize resource utilization.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA is a plus, not required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Hands-on ownership of multi-entity or multi-location month-end close.
- Experience working in a law firm or similar services industry is highly desirable.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Clio or similar legal practice management software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
- Experience at a company scaling through 20M-50M revenue.
