Accounting Assistant / Part-Qualified Accountant

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing, well-established business for an Accounting Assistant to join their finance team. This is a strong opportunity for someone with a grounding in bookkeeping who wants to build a career in finance, working closely with experienced accountants.

What you'll be doing:

• Bookkeeping duties including processing invoices, posting journals, and bank reconciliations
• Supporting month-end close, including accruals and prepayments
• Helping resolve reconciliation queries across the finance team
• Supporting audit preparation, including gathering documentation for auditors

What we're looking for:

• 0–2 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (internships and part-time roles welcome)
• A working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and AP/AR
• Comfortable in Excel, willing to learn new systems
• Careful, organised, and confident asking questions when needed
• A good communicator who works well in a team
• Fluent English
