Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $105,000.00 Annually Assistant Financial Controller – ISP About the Role The Assistant Financial Controller – ISP plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, reporting accuracy, and financial discipline of the ISP business. This position reports into the Corporate Office, Finance team. This position will have primary responsibility for supporting QuickBooks, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, weekly revenue reporting, and day-to-day financial questions from the business . The role serves as an important financial partner to ISP leadership, helping ensure transactions are processed accurately, financial information is timely and reliable, and business leaders have appropriate visibility into financial performance. The Assistant Financial Controller will work closely with operational leaders, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and other cross-functional partners to maintain strong financial controls, resolve issues, support month-end activities, and improve financial processes. Because strong partnership with the business is essential to this role, the position is also expected to maintain regular visibility within ISP operations, including monthly visits to ISP locations to build relationships, understand operational activity, address financial questions, and strengthen alignment between Finance and the business. Ultimately, this role helps create the financial structure, responsiveness, and reporting discipline necessary to support ISP’s continued growth and operational success. This position is remote that covers multiple locations, however in office/in person location visits as needed to successfully complete the work during agreed upon office hours with your leader. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key financial resource for the ISP organization, responding to day-to-day financial questions and partnering with leaders to resolve accounting and financial issues. Maintain and support accurate financial activity within QuickBooks , including transaction review, account accuracy, reconciliations, reporting, and troubleshooting. Manage and oversee daily Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, payment application, aging review, collections follow-up, and resolution of customer account discrepancies. Manage and oversee daily Accounts Payable (AP) activities to ensure invoices, approvals, coding, and payments are processed accurately and timely. Prepare and distribute weekly revenue reporting , providing leadership with clear visibility into sales activity, trends, variances, and other relevant financial information. Monitor AR aging and partner with internal stakeholders to improve collections, reduce past-due balances, and support healthy cash flow. Reconcile accounts and investigate financial discrepancies by gathering, analyzing, and validating supporting information. Support monthly close activities and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by providing timely and accurate business information. Help identify financial trends, risks, variances, and opportunities requiring leadership attention. Maintain appropriate accounting controls and ensure financial activities comply with company policies, established procedures, and applicable accounting requirements. Partner with Corporate Finance and Accounting to ensure ISP financial activities are appropriately integrated into broader Lakeland reporting processes. Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to requests, and helping resolve identified issues. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. Develop strong working relationships with ISP operational leadership and employees to improve communication and financial understanding throughout the organization. Travel to ISP locations approximately once per month , or as business needs require, to meet with local leadership, review financial processes, address questions, and maintain strong operational partnership. Perform additional financial analysis and accounting responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, service, or similar operational environment. Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes . Experience working with QuickBooks or a comparable accounting system. Strong understanding of general accounting principles, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to organize, analyze, and communicate financial information effectively. Ability to independently investigate financial discrepancies and drive issues through resolution. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring reporting requirements and competing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support both financial and non-financial business partners. Ability and willingness to travel to ISP locations approximately monthly. Preferred Qualifications CPA, CMA, or progress toward a professional accounting certification. Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location business. Experience supporting weekly revenue, sales, or operational financial reporting . Experience with ERP systems in addition to QuickBooks. Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting. Knowledge of internal controls and audit requirements. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and large-data analysis. Experience working in a growing or evolving business where financial processes are being standardized and strengthened. Key Skills & Competencies Success in this position requires a combination of strong accounting fundamentals and a practical, service-oriented approach to supporting the business. The Assistant Financial Controller must be comfortable moving between detailed transactional work and higher-level financial analysis. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and revenue reporting will be critical to maintaining accurate records and providing leadership with dependable financial information. The role also requires a high degree of responsiveness and business partnership. ISP leaders should view this position as a trusted financial resource who can answer questions, investigate issues, explain financial information clearly, and help translate operational activity into meaningful financial insight. Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, communication, and follow-through are essential. Regular interaction with ISP locations will also allow this position to better understand the business, strengthen financial controls, and proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance and processes.
