We’re Pentland Brands: a global family business behind some of the world’s most iconic active and lifestyle brands. We bring integrity, energy and ambition to our work, setting high standards and striving to deliver great outcomes without ego.
Design technical outdoor apparel built for movement, weather and real-world performance.
At Berghaus, product has to do more than look good. It has to work when conditions change, terrain gets tougher and every detail starts to matter.
Our NPD (New Product Development) team drives innovation by exploring new product opportunities beyond the core range. As Assistant Product Manager – NPD, you will support the development of future-focused product concepts, testing and validating new ideas, and helping transform innovation opportunities into commercially viable products. This role is hands-on, exploratory, and critical to shaping the future growth pathways of our brands.
What you’ll be doing:
Innovation & Concept Exploration
Support the development of new product concepts informed by consumer insights, emerging trends, and category whitespace.
Assist in building concept boards, innovation briefs, and project outlines.
Product Development Support
Work with Design, Development, and Sourcing to progress prototypes, materials, construction options, and feasibility checks for new products.
Help manage sample rounds, testing feedback, and documentation for new concepts.
Insights & Market Validation
Conduct trend research, competitor scanning, and consumer insight gathering to support NPD decision-making.
Assist with product testing, consumer feedback collection, and early-stage validation studies.
Project Tracking & Documentation
Maintain accurate NPD project documentation across PLM and internal systems.
Support milestones, meeting notes, action lists, and timelines across multiple innovation projects.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Support collaboration with Brand, Design, Development, Commercial, and Sustainability teams.
Help prepare materials for NPD reviews, concept pitches, and stakeholder presentations.
What you’ll bring:
Experience or strong interest in product innovation, product development, or category research.
Creative curiosity paired with strong organisational and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation, testing notes, and project tracking.
Confident communication and the ability to work with cross-functional innovation teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and interest in learning PLM systems.
