Join Us as Assistant Regional Clinical Director – Home Based Services!
Assistant Regional Clinical Director – Home Based Services is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the behavioral health program, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based ABA services.
This role combines hands-on clinical leadership with team management, family relations, and culture-building. This role will involve providing caseload management and mentorship to a team of BCBAs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
The Assistant Regional Clinical Director - Home Based Services is required to practice and oversee only those ABA services and clinical activities that fall within their verified scope of competence, in accordance with BACB ethics, ACQ standards, and organizational guidelines.
This is a primarily remote position with the flexibility to work from home and in the community. To foster collaboration and team connection, the Assistant Regional Clinical Director – Home Based Services will be on-site at one of our EI Centers and/or service locations for a minimum of two (2) days per month. Remote work is conducted in accordance with the organization's remote work policy and in coordination with the Regional Clinical Director.

What You'll Do
Clinical Leadership:
- Oversee the development and fidelity of ABA programming across assigned of home-based services region
- Ensure clinical practices are evidence-based, ethically implemented, and aligned with organizational and regulatory standards
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Review and analyze clinical data to guide treatment decisions and improve client outcomes
- Oversee service development and delivery to ensure high-quality care
- Collaborate with the Care Coordinators and operational leadership regarding operations and clinical programming needs
- Guide the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure alignment between best clinical practices and operational decisions
- Ensure compliance with BACB ethical standards, payer requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Participate in program development, clinical initiatives, and research activities when available
- Maintain and pursue credentials, continuing education, and professional development relevant to the role
- Mentor and provide performance feedback to BCBAs through observation, coaching, and ongoing support
- Oversee direct BCBA service delivery and billable activity in alignment with organizational expectations
Supervision & Staff Development:
- Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for clinical staff
- Lead clinical meetings and promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence
- Conduct monthly or quarterly 1:1 check-in with each BCBA on the team to support clinical growth, address concerns, and align goals; cadence remained aligned with NJ RCD.
- Lead monthly regional group BCBA meetings focused on case collaboration, clinical updates, and team-wide learning
- Host twice-yearly BCBA regional team dinners to strengthen relationships and recognize contributions
- Build and sustain a positive BCBA team culture grounded in clinical excellence, collaboration, and mutual support
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all BCBAs, including goal setting and development planning
- Maintain and update competency standards for all BCBAs and ensure team members meet or progress toward them
- Ensure compliance with the BACB supervision and ethical standards
- Serve as the responsible supervisor for BCBAs within first year certified, providing clinical oversight through regular observation, feedback, coaching, and mentorship
Clinical Oversight and Quality
- Hold weekly BCBA office hours to provide clinical consultation, case support, and decision guidance
- Serve as the clinical lead for escalated families, addressing compliance issues and complex clinical concerns
- Manage BCBA caseloads and productivity, balancing client needs with billable expectations and team capacity
- Use POWER BI to ensure all BCBAs meet their billable hours, are within 10-15% supervision and conduct at least 1 hour of family guidance for each client per month
- Coordinate with the scheduling team on client start dates and smooth case transitions
- Assign BCBA to client during assessment stage in HubSpot
Clinical
- Provide oversight to clinical supervisors' caseloads by auditing client progress and identifying barriers for BCBAs
- Coordinate temporary BCBA coverage to ensure uninterrupted clinical supervision and prevent service delays. When coverage is unavailable, provide direct supervision to maintain a minimum of 10% supervision for all clients, with direct billable supervision not to exceed 15 hours per week
- Support BCBAs in developing a plan to ensure supervision requirements are met prior to PTO or planned leaves of absence
- Provide mentorship to BCBAs developing function-based individualized treatment plans
Family Engagement and Outreach
- Partner with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals to develop individualized and consistent treatment plans
- Coordinate caregiver support services and ensure family-centered care practices are incorporated into treatment delivery
- Support caregiver training and engagement to promote treatment generalization and long-term success
- Support in interdisciplinary team meetings and coordinate care with allied professionals
- Maintain open, compassionate, and professional communication with families throughout the treatment process
- Develop and implement ongoing family guidance training initiatives to support organizational and clinical family guidance standards and expectations
- Approve all discharges from services, including outreach to families for feedback and re-engagement opportunities
Management Responsibilities
- Interview and hire home based BCBAs, partnering with HR/leadership on selection decisions
- Onboard new BCBAs into team standards, competencies, and culture.
- Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations and annual performance reviews across assigned BCBAs
- Provides coaching, performance feedback, corrective action, and follow-up support when performance concerns arise
- Conduct annual evaluations
- Submit required documentation related to employee corrective actions, resignations, and terminations in accordance with company procedures
What You'll Need
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB
- Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in state(s) providing services
- Completion of BACB-approved supervision training
- Minimum of three (3) years post-credential experience providing, supervising, or administering ABA services to individuals with ASD
- Clinical Directors with fewer than three (3) years of post-credential experience must demonstrate competency via a formal assessment and maintain regular documented supervision or mentorship with the Regional Clinical Director or designated clinical leader.
- Strong clinical judgment, family-facing communication skills, and ability to handle escalated situations with discretion.
- Proficiency with practice management/EHR systems, scheduling tools, and standard productivity software.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified within 30 days of hire
Work Location & Hours
This is a full-time position out of our Voorhees, NJ Early Intervention Center, and typical working hours are M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.?
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 annually.
Final compensation will be based on a range of factors, such as your skills, education, experience, certifications, market conditions, and internal equity. All offers are made in alignment with applicable federal and state laws.?
