The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Assistant Research Scientist Position. Assistant Research Scientist, 100% FTE, performing duties of a research coordinator for neurobiologic/clinical studies including patient contact and some remote work. The overall job is tracking research participants through all the procedures of the protocols and maintaining accurate, detailed charts and regulatory documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a hybrid position that includes some remote and some in-person work.

• It will involve running procedures for neurobiologic studies of depression that will entail significant patient contact, including scheduling and performing Trier Social Stress Test, Ecological Momentary Assessment, and phlebotomy procedures, and keeping track of charts, regulatory binders, and IRB correspondence.
• The position involves preparing and updating slides for research team meetings that record all outstanding tasks and actions, lists research participants and pending and completed research procedures.
• All trainings are also recorded. The position includes training in collecting blood samples that are then documented, sent to a lab for assays and results obtained and reported to research team.
• Screening research subjects to establish eligibility is scheduled, results are documented and presented at research team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and one year of professional research experience in an appropriate field or 30 graduate hours leading to an advanced degree in an appropriate field may be substituted for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a science or psychology-related field. At least (1) year research experience.
