At elk Marketing, we’re a fast-growing digital agency serving brands like HexClad, Burt's Bees Baby, and Built Bar with sharp, high-performance SEO, Paid Search, and Paid Social strategies.
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Associate Account Manager (AAM) who’s eager to learn the ropes of digital marketing and client service. This is a true entry-level role for someone just starting their career.
As an AAM at elk, you’ll get exposure to more than just Account work. You might help prepare slides for client calls, assist with project management, create follow-ups, QA SEO content, help with a design project, or support the CEO with a one-off project. Our AAMs work cross-functionally with nearly every team, providing them with a well-rounded foundation in digital marketing and insight into how a high-performing agency operates.
What You’ll Do
In Your First 30 Days:
Meet your team and onboard with our tools, systems, and processes
Learn basic project management across paid media, SEO, and development
Learn how we communicate with our internal teams and clients, including deck building
Shadow client calls and take notes for the lead Account Executive
By Day 60
Own one or more recurring internal projects (e.g. content calendar updates, assigning content, updating the Paid Media roster, etc.)
Preparing client decks ahead of syncs with minimal oversight
Confidently tracking action items, due dates, and next steps in Asana
By Day 90
Manage timelines for deliverables across 2–4 client accounts
Communicate directly with clients via email, in Slack, and on calls
Demonstrate a strong understanding of our campaign planning and content calendar process
Show confidence in managing multiple deadlines across internal and external teams
Your Day-to-Day
Build and format client-facing decks and materials
QA client assets before they go live (landing pages, ads, strategy decks, etc.)
Keep projects and deliverables organized and moving in Asana
Take notes during internal or client calls and track next steps
Coordinate internal resources and manage project timelines
You’re a Fit If You:
Have 0-1 years of experience in account coordination, project management, marketing, or a similar role
Are incredibly organized and can manage multiple projects at once
Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and on client facing calls
Take initiative and feel comfortable figuring things out while managing competing priorities
Are eager to learn how performance marketing, creative, dev, and client services work together
Are comfortable working remotely and managing your own time in a fast-paced agency environment
Have experience using Asana, Google Workspace, Slack
Are a team player who enjoys coordinating with other members on projects and is willing to assist others when needed
