Our team works closely with clients to understand their operations, goals, and challenges, delivering customized financial solutions that help their businesses grow and succeed.
About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about agriculture and interested in building a career in commercial banking?
As an Associate, Agriculture Banking, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a portfolio of agriculture and agribusiness clients while developing the skills needed for a successful career in financial services. Working alongside experienced Account Managers and industry professionals, you'll learn how to analyze businesses, build client relationships, and provide financial solutions tailored to the unique needs of agricultural operations.
This role offers extensive training, coaching, and development opportunities designed to help you grow your knowledge of commercial banking, agriculture, credit analysis, and relationship management.
What You'll Do
- Support Account Managers in managing and growing relationships with agriculture and agribusiness clients
- Learn to analyze financial statements, business plans, and lending opportunities
- Assist in identifying client needs and delivering customized financial solutions
- Develop an understanding of agricultural markets, industry trends, and economic factors impacting our clients
- Participate in client meetings and gain exposure to a wide range of agricultural businesses
- Build skills in relationship management, business development, financial analysis, and credit structuring
- Collaborate with partners across the bank to deliver an exceptional client experience
What We're Looking For
We're interested in students and recent graduates who are:
- Recently completed, or are on track to complete a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Passionate about agriculture and interested in the financial side of the industry
- Strong relationship builders who enjoy working with people
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
- Analytical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communicators with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Relevant experience growing up on a farm, working in agriculture, participating in agricultural organizations, or having knowledge of the agriculture industry is considered an asset.
