Associate AI Specialist, Discovery and Preclinical Science

IntuitionLabs helps biotech and pharmaceutical companies put AI to work across research, regulatory, clinical, quality and business teams. Our clients are biotech and pharmaceutical companies across North America. We run company-wide AI programs month by month: training, platform setup, and working tools built with each department.

This is a remote position with flexible hours. Candidates based in Canada or the United States are preferred.

We are building a full-time delivery team of people from the industry who use AI every day. This is an associate role for someone early in their career. You join that team, reporting to our Head of Delivery, and we train you on AI tools and on how our programs run. You grow into the full specialist role as you take on more.

What you will do

• Support the research and preclinical month of our programs at each client: map how scientists find, analyse and report their data today, measure the time it takes, and build AI workflows the team keeps using
• Show chemists, biologists and preclinical scientists how to search internal files and the literature by target, disease, compound or endpoint with AI, with every answer traced to its source
• Help build scientific knowledge platforms that connect sources such as Box, SharePoint, Benchling and the published literature, including how conflicting data and compound aliases are resolved
• Build workflows for recurring scientific work: literature and competitive landscapes, assay and study summaries, report and slide preparation, sections feeding an IND
• Build and teach training material in our Academy: workshops, guides and short videos
• Answer client questions through our help desk and office hours, and keep the monthly scorecard current
• Work alongside a network of senior specialists in regulatory, CMC, clinical, medical and data science

What you bring

• A PhD (or an MSc with strong research experience) in chemistry, biology, pharmacology or a related field, with 0 to 3 years in industry; postdocs and recent graduates moving into industry are welcome
• Hands-on research in one or more of: medicinal or computational chemistry, assay biology, protein or antibody science, DMPK, toxicology, bioinformatics
• Flawless written and spoken English
• Regular use of AI tools, and curiosity about where they help and where they fail
• Comfort with data: scripting in Python or R is an asset
• Availability for some meetings on Eastern and Pacific time
