Associate Business Analyst

Place of work: Remote, Slovakia

Base salary:  minimum 1600€ / monthly (depending on experiences and quality of the candidate)

Contract type: full-time

Key responsibilities and authority

· Work with stakeholders, with guidance from a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or project lead, to understand business objectives, processes and requirements for assigned work packages.

· Support interviews, workshops and analysis sessions and document user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and functional/non-functional requirements.

· Capture business requirements and functional specifications using agreed templates and standards.

· Maintain requirements documentation and traceability, including review status, decisions, assumptions, dependencies and approvals.

· Create process models, workflow diagrams and simple prototypes or wireframes to support shared understanding.

· Validate documented requirements with stakeholders and escalate unresolved gaps, conflicts or scope issues to the responsible lead.

· Work with project managers, developers, testers, IT Architects and vendors to clarify requirements and support delivery.

· Support test planning and the preparation of test cases that validate the implemented solution against approved requirements.

· Participate in user acceptance testing and support the recording, triage and retesting of requirement-related defects.

· Support handover of new solutions and supporting documentation to Operations Teams.

· Apply relevant Convatec process, quality, security, privacy and regulatory requirements within assigned work.

· Make routine decisions within agreed scope and standards, escalating material scope, solution, compliance or stakeholder decisions to the responsible lead.

· Fluency in written and spoken English, including the ability to summarise information accurately.

· Good listening, questioning, documentation, presentation and facilitation skills.

· Ability to organise own work and manage priorities with appropriate support.

· Ability to contribute to workshops and stakeholder discussions; experience leading complex senior stakeholder workshops is not required.

· Flexible and collaborative mindset with the ability to work across different functions and projects.

· Exposure to a global business environment is desirable.

· Awareness of the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential qualifications, education, and certifications necessary for success in the role.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant practical experience.

· Typically 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, process analysis, systems analysis, project delivery or a related role. Relevant internship, apprenticeship or graduate placement experience may be considered.

· Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure business needs into clear requirements with guidance.

· Foundational knowledge of requirements elicitation, user stories, acceptance criteria, process modelling and documentation techniques.

· Working knowledge of documentation and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.

· Foundational understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.

· Foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle and its phases.

· Exposure to data analysis, SQL, business intelligence, prototyping or wireframing tools is desirable.

· Entry-level Business Analysis training or certification, such as ECBA, BCS Foundation or equivalent, is desirable

Experience in these domains is advantageous, especially in the Medical Devices/Pharmaceutical industry

· SAP/SAP S/4HANA

· Quality Management Systems (QMS)

· Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLM)

· Manufacturing Execution Systems and Processes (MES)

· Sales and Marketing / CRM Systems
