Employees are required to have flexibility to work any shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST, including every third weekend (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM EST) and participation in a rotating holiday schedule. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be Monday- Friday, 06:00AM - 03:30PM EST. Primary Responsibilities Access client clinical systems to gather, enter, and/or update demographic and/or clinical data into the EHR and/or screening tool database to maintain client records, as appropriate, while maintaining accuracy and completeness of the information. Reconcile nurse worklist with outcomes from EHR's database into screening tool database. Access client clinical systems to obtain census reports and process census reports per FLR process. Access client clinical system to obtain pertinent documents to build a FLR template for nurse to complete the First Level review. Monitors, tracks and retrieves client faxes to assure timely processing by the team. Assist with identification and correction of inaccurate and incomplete information as communicated by the client and from reports. Establish and maintain permanent electronic files. Maintains and generates reports to clients while ensuring compliance with HIPPA/HITECH guidelines. Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management. Monitors the First Level Review email inbox and sorts, distributes and responds to incoming emails. Payor communication, sending and receiving clinical documentation, responding to additional requests and sending outcomes appropriately. Answers calls from clients and/or internally regarding their inquiries. Prepares and modifies various documents using Microsoft Office. Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties/special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years of age OR older 1+ years of data entry and/or general office experience (skills include- telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Experience with confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Ability to work any shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST, including every third weekend (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM EST) and participation in a rotating holiday schedule Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a Medical Office/Hospital/Health Insurance Company experience Knowledge of Electronic Health Record navigation Telecommuting Requirements: Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service Soft Skills: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little supervision Team player attitude Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail Excellent computer and typing skills *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
