Project: An industry-led initiative implementing programs dedicated to farmers and communities at scale with the objective of strengthening the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Role of the Rainforest Alliance: Supporting the launch of the operations in Côte d'Ivoire by establishing and managing a team to ensure effective delivery, coordination, and monitoring of all activities on the field including agronomy services. POSITION SUMMARY: Rainforest Alliance is looking for three Cocoa Resilience Associates to join a field team delivering agronomic interventions. These include Adoption Observations, regenerative agriculture, CSSV assessment, and pruning quality assessment — that improve cocoa productivity, climate resilience, and farmer profitability across Côte d'Ivoire. The Cocoa Resilience Associates will report to the Senior Manager, Agronomy, and will provide day-to-day technical support and mentoring to coaches and cooperatives, helping them adopt regenerative practices and deliver field activities to a high standard. You will also monitor implementation quality, validate field data, and support adaptive management — ensuring interventions are applied consistently, meet methodology standards, and translate into real gains for farmers across multiple cocoa-growing landscapes. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Support the implementation of Rainforest Alliance's adoption observation framework for regenerative agriculture and provide support for cooperatives and their members. Provide support for technicians on data collection of farmers' adoption level of regenerative agricultural practices. Work closely with Coaches to ensure consistent application of technical protocols, field procedures and implementation standards across assigned cooperatives. Assist in vehicle management. Provide organizational and logistical assistance for workshops, events, meetings, and trips. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation process of the adoption observation framework, ensuring that farmers and cooperatives are participating. Conduct routine field accompaniment visits to reinforce good agronomic practices, troubleshoot implementation challenges and strengthen technical consistency. Facilitate communication between Coaches, cooperatives, Regional Technical Support and programme management to ensure effective implementation. Support technical training events, field demonstrations and knowledge-sharing activities for Coaches and implementation partners. WHAT YOU BRING: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or any related discipline. 3 years' work experience in cocoa farming systems is desirable. Knowledge of agricultural extension methodologies and adult learning principles. Interpret and apply technical protocols, field guides and Standard Operating Procedures. Experience using digital tools for field data collection, monitoring and reporting. Proficiency in French and working knowledge of English. Travel locally at least 40% of the time.
