Job Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Assists end to end contracting related to clinical, commercial, corporate vendor contracts for products and services including but not limited to reviewing and negotiating sophisticated service agreements, Licensing, SaaS, HR & staffing agreements and other contracts, including strategic alliances, data privacy related agreements as well as various issues escalated from the business units and internal departments.
• Assists in negotiations with vendor’s legal team.
• Responds to and advises on legal related requests and inquiries from business teams and drafts Legal documents
• Strong communicator – is able to professionally handle emails, messages, and calls internally and with external vendors and clients
• Advises business teams on contractual matters and risk mitigation
• Interfaces with Procurement, Data Privacy, and Sourcing as required to support contracting matters.
• Assists in the drafting and negotiation of all aspects of direct and indirect contracts
• Works collaboratively across the Legal department, including the Company’s global team of regional-based attorneys, to coordinate and drive completion of global contracts.
• Desire to aid others and work as a team player in problem solving.
• Liaise with other global legal members and other departments to provide responsive legal support;
• Conducts legal research and analysis related to the company’s business.

Qualifications

• JD/LLM/LLB or an equivalent Degree from an accredited University
• Fully Qualified lawyer
• Law firm or in house experience is a bonus
• Knowledge of contracts and commercial laws
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach while identifying and balancing legal risks and providing succinct, accurate and pragmatic advice;
• Ability to work semi-independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills
• Exceptional analytical skills, independent judgment, and a desire to learn,
• Can-do attitude, able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and a high volume of contracts
