Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking an Associate Director, Data Science for their Compliance team. This is a hybrid role based in New Brunswick, Titusville and Horsham.


Position Summary:


JJRC Strategy & Execution is a global strategic leadership position responsible for providing advanced data analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence enablement, and project management support to the J&J Regulatory Compliance organization and its stakeholders.

Working closely with senior leaders across Enterprise and Sector Compliance, this role will leverage analytical platforms such as Alteryx and Tableau while embedding artificial intelligence into reporting, analytics, and decision-support workflows. The role will identify, design, and implement responsible AI capabilities—including intelligent agents that can automate recurring data preparation, monitor reporting processes, surface emerging trends, and generate timely insights—to strengthen risk management, accelerate reporting, and enable continuous business improvement.

In addition, the role will apply strong project and change management skills to lead and support strategic, global enterprise-wide initiatives involving all levels of management. This includes partnering with business, technology, data, privacy, security, and compliance stakeholders to scale AI-enabled solutions with appropriate governance, validation, transparency, auditability, data protection, and human oversight.

Position Duties & Responsibilities: *

This position is responsible to :

  • Support the Quality & Compliance organization in conducting compliance metric analysis, providing data analytic capabilities using Alteryx workflows and Tableau visuals, developing and driving compliance data and reporting strategies
  • Perform in-depth quantitative analysis for compliance management and strategy development.
  • Develop proactive analytics capability using Alteryx workflows and Tableau visuals to drive insight-based approach to identify areas of opportunity for increased compliance and reduced risk. This includes conducting in-depth qualitative and quantitative data and text analytics.
  • Identify, design, test, and implement artificial intelligence capabilities that enhance compliance reporting, analytics, risk identification, and decision-support processes.
  • Develop and deploy intelligent agents and AI-enabled workflows to automate recurring data preparation, monitor reporting activities, detect emerging trends, and generate timely, actionable insights.
  • Evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, reliability, business value, and compliance with applicable data, privacy, security, validation, transparency, auditability, and human oversight requirements.
  • Partner with business, technology, data, privacy, security, and compliance stakeholders to establish responsible AI practices, governance controls, documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement across the AI lifecycle.
  • Provide business analysis expertise around data management and reporting to ensure most effective and efficient business solutions for the enterprise.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and reliable data to support strategic business decision making.
  • Provide project and program management support, consultation and expertise.
  • Manage and support key strategic projects and programs including technology focused projects.
  • Explore and enable delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Support the vision and strategy for innovation, system and process improvements, to deliver industry leading capabilities.
  • Support the methodology and solutions to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives and make proposals with implementation plans to drive efficiency and effectiveness, and a culture of innovation.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to enable effective team management and development.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Strong Alteryx workflow experience and broad experience with computerized systems, data analytics, reporting tools, and AI-enabled technologies.
  • Undergraduate degree in data science, computer science, artificial intelligence or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience creating visuals in Tableau and using other data analytics and reporting tools.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent agents to reporting, analytics, workflow automation, risk identification, or decision-support use cases.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and governance practices, including data quality and lineage, privacy, security, validation, transparency, auditability, monitoring, and human oversight.
  • Experience evaluating, testing, implementing, and monitoring AI-enabled solutions across the solution lifecycle, including assessment of accuracy, reliability, risk, and business value.
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare industry experience. Functional knowledge of and experience in Quality and/or Regulatory Compliance.
  • Experience with successful project management from inception through delivery.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and change management skills; and the ability to work as a team member and team leader when required.
  • Ability to successfully support quick-turnaround requests.
  • Proven track record of organizational engagement and collaboration across functions and at all levels, especially with executives.
  • Technical capability to solve complex problems, with the curiosity to identify which problems should be addressed.
  • Detail- and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team player with the ability to focus on the customer, prioritize, and adapt to business needs.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
