We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the growth of our DB (Defined Benefit) fiduciary investment management business (commonly referred to as OCIO or Outsourced Chief Investment Officer). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fiduciary management or investment consulting for DB pension or insurance investment portfolios. The role may also appeal to other candidates with a strong investment background and technological expertise, but seeking a new opportunity. This is a rewarding position within a dynamic and expanding team.

We will count on you to:

· Develop, run, and maintain existing quantitative models to enhance our client offerings.

  • Create, manage, and enhance proprietary investment models and tools (such as VaR, interest rate hedging, liability valuation, and liability-driven investing) for DB pension portfolios and client reports.
  • Help maintain daily monitoring valuation model for clients on Mercer Dynamic De-Risking Solution (MDDS) platform.
  • Drive automation and streamlining efforts to improve processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Liaise with Portfolio Management, Operations, Strategy, and Consulting teams to implement high quality strategies (for example, dynamic portfolio management and interest rate hedging strategies) across multiple portfolios with efficiency and scale.
  • Develop analysis and custom presentation materials in support of investment ideas to be reviewed and approved by the US Defined Benefit Investment Committee and other governance committees.
  • Develop analysis and custom presentation materials to support conversations with strategists, consultants, clients, and prospects.

What you need to have:

  • Prior experience in fiduciary management, asset management, and/or investment consulting with a strong understanding of financial instruments and statistical/financial modeling.
  • Advanced Excel and coding skills (VBA, Python).
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income, equities, ETFs, funds, derivatives, and market indices.
  • Familiarity with standard risk measurement and management metrics for investment portfolios.
  • Excellent analytical and investment skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead processes to achieve targets in a timely manner.
  • Self-development mindset, able to identify personal knowledge and skill gaps.
  • BE/B Tech from a top-tier college and/or Masters in Finance, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, or Quantitative Finance.
  • Progress towards CFA certification is preferred.

What makes you stand out:

  • Adaptable communicator, facilitator, influencer and problem solver
  • Previous experience with US-based fixed income investments and/or US-based defined benefit investment strategies
  • Actuarial training, credentials, and/or experience
  • Good/excellent communication and content writing skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience developing solutions using AI models (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT).

Why join our team:

  • Your contributions will impact strategic decision-making and business performance.
  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
