With our three market leading businesses, world-class operations and investments in research and development, we offer capabilities and opportunity no one else can. Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world.

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems and has been revolutionizing modern flight for over 100 years.

Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

The Pratt & Whitney Digital Technology Global Digital Delivery team has an exciting new opportunity available for an experienced customer-focused Product Owner.

This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our campus in East Hartford, Connecticut.

What You Will Do:

The Digital Technology Global Digital Delivery organization is seeking an experienced, customer‑focused Product Owner to connect business challenges with effective technology solutions.

This role is responsible for maximizing product value by guiding the work of the development team and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

The Product Owner partners closely with both Business and DT teams to define the product vision, manage and prioritize the product backlog, and ensure delivery aligns with enterprise architecture standards and software development process.

Operating within Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, you will lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑value digital capabilities that support Pratt & Whitney’s broader digital transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring requirements are complete, documented, and translated into clear user stories.

- Prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, technical considerations, and strategic alignment.

- Collaborate across DT, Business, Architecture, and Program Management to drive end‑to‑end delivery and remove blockers.

- Ensure all work follows Pratt & Whitney enterprise architecture, code development standards, and product lifecycle processes.

- Monitor delivery and track product performance using defined success metrics; make data‑driven decisions to optimize outcomes.

- Support product lifecycle management from concept through development, testing, launch, and sustainment.

- Conduct market, user, and competitive research to identify needs, validate direction, and inform priorities.

- Maintain strong, cooperative relationships with process owners and both technical and functional stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to analyze complex issues, make informed decisions, and prioritize effectively.

- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and analyze data to identify trends, measure performance, and drive product improvements. In essence, a software product manager is a strategic leader who owns the product and is responsible for its success in the market.

- Business Acumen: Understanding market trends, business models, and financial implications.

- Technical Proficiency:  Understanding software development processes, technologies, and architectures.

Moderate domestic and international travel (5-10%) may be required.

Due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings can occur outside normal business work hours.

What You Will Learn:

- Career growth opportunities include access and exposure to A&D industry technical experts, global business operations, continuous improvement activities, and middle and senior P&W management.

- Few positions offer such a broad opportunity to network with technical personnel and to build relationships with leaders of key business operations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information System, Information Technology, or related technical field and 12+ years of hands on applicable work experience including 5+ years of product management experience related to Enterprise Technology Business Systems or Infrastructure Technology; OR an Advanced degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field and 10+ years of hands on applicable work experience including 5+ years of product management experience related to Enterprise Technology Business Systems or Infrastructure Technology.

- Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Forecasting (ideally in complex manufacturing industry).

- Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).

- Sprint management, refinement and stake holder demos.

- US Citizenship is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- 10+ years of experience related to product management and/or software development.

- Strong understanding of modern data engineering and analytics platforms, particularly Databricks, Delta Lake, and distributed compute patterns.

- AI/ML model lifecycle, deployment, and inference pipelines.

- Ontology/semantic models and metadata-driven design.

- Clear understanding of integration patterns, microservices, event-driven workflows, and connected enterprise systems.

- Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and DevOps pipelines.
