Position Summary

The Associate Director, US Cell Therapy Sales Account Planning & Business Strategy serves as a strategic leader responsible for developing and advancing the strategic planning and business acumen capabilities of the US Cell Therapy Sales organization for both sites of care and community targets.

This individual partners with Sales Leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders, including Medical, Market Access and the Cell Scheduling & Logistics Team, to translate organizational priorities into actionable account strategies, customer engagement plans, deployment approaches, and business insights that improve customer impact and patient access.

This role builds scalable frameworks that enable the field organization to identify opportunities, prioritize resources, and execute against evolving business objectives across multiple points of call.

As a key member of the Sales Strategy & Operations team, this leader leverages data, analytics, AI-enabled tools, and market insights to proactively drive innovative business solutions, optimize account planning, and support the continued evolution of the Cell Therapy customer engagement model.

Key Responsibilities

Account Planning & Business Strategy

  • Lead development and continuous evolution of account planning frameworks and tools, including account segmentation, customer prioritization, engagement planning, and business reviews in a variety of formats to meet evolving needs.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to establish account planning standards, governance, and best practices across the field organization for both Activated Treatment Centers and Community Healthcare Providers.
  • Develop strategic recommendations that improve customer engagement, treatment center performance, referrer activation, and patient access.
  • Support long-range planning and strategic initiatives related to field structure, deployment models, territory optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Integrate cross-functional needs for Medical, Market Access, Marketing and Cell Scheduling & Logistics Team to ensure proactive strategic account planning is inclusive, actionable and sustainable.
  • Partner with Business Insights & Analytics, among other stakeholders, to transform performance data into actionable field strategies and business recommendations in line with broader business planning strategies.
  • Lead business analyses that inform planning decisions, launch readiness, resource deployment, and organizational strategy.

Technology & Capability Enablement

  • Define and prioritize business requirements for strategic account planning and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Partner with technology, analytics, and customer capability teams to enhance sales force tools and field planning resources.
  • Drive adoption of account planning methodologies and digital solutions that enable more effective customer engagement.
  • Deepen Business Acumen of the Cell Therapy Sales team through upskilling initiatives in partnership with the Sales Leadership Team.

Strategic Planning & Leadership Support

  • Support Sales Leadership, including Senior Regional Business Directors, & Area Business Managers, with executive-level presentations, business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and organizational recommendations.
  • Lead development of annual business planning processes, quarterly business reviews and monthly account reviews.
  • Partner with Marketing, Training, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Cell Therapy Operations, among others, to ensure strategic alignment across customer-facing functions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA, M.S., or other advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, commercial strategy, sales operations, business analytics, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, sales strategy, analytics, deployment planning, or commercial excellence.
  • Experience supporting oncology, hematology, cell therapy, specialty therapeutics, or other complex treatment environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic decision-making within a matrix organization.

Compensation Overview:

Field - United States - US: $154,090 - $186,718


The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, you may be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefit plans – including wellbeing support, retirement and financial protection benefits, and insurance offerings (medical, dental, vision, life and disability).


U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.


Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.


Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
