We are currently recruiting an Associate Director-Wastewater Modeller with experience in the water industry, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years throughout the UK&I, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Enterprise Capabilities Europe Center (Poland/Spain). The responsibilities of this role include: Manage the composition and delivery output of growing project teams with members from EC Europe and other EC centres. Lead the coordination, technical oversight, and delivery of major wastewater and sewer modelling frameworks and programmes for key clients including Uisce Éireann (Irish Water), Scottish Water, Thames Water, and others. Ensure the successful delivery of assignments across wastewater, sewer network modelling, and related technical disciplines, working within defined project requirements and applying appropriate professional review processes. Establish and lead a sewer adoption programme for the UK Water business, including quality assurance reviews, developer liaison, inspection coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities. Analyse complex datasets and modelling outputs, preparing clear, high-quality technical reports and client deliverables. Act as technical lead on major frameworks and modelling programmes, supporting strategic planning, storm overflow reduction, and network resilience initiatives. Serve as the primary delivery focal point for internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity of scope, assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies across project teams. Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to bids and business development activities. Minimum Requirements:: Extensive experience in wastewater network modelling within a consultancy or water utility environment. Strong proficiency in industry-standard modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM). Strong understanding of UK&I water industry regulations, AMP cycles, and wastewater planning frameworks. Proven ability to lead projects and provide technical direction. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership is desirable. Preferred Qualifications: Degree (BEng/MEng or MSc) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or related discipline.
