Associate - Family THE ROLE & TEAM At Brabners, our Family team continues to grow from strength to strength, and we are looking to recruit a talented Associate (3–6 PQE) to join our highly regarded practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-quality matters within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm, recognised for its client-focused approach. You will join an experienced and supportive Family team advising on a broad mix of private family law matters, including complex children work and high-value financial cases. The team is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially aware advice, often with an international dimension. This role offers the opportunity to both assist on sophisticated matters and manage your own caseload, alongside gaining exposure to advocacy. This role can be based out of our Liverpool, Preston, Manchester or Leeds offices KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Managing your own caseload of family law matters, including: Complex private children cases Financial remedy work, including high-net-worth matters · Assisting senior lawyers on more complex or high-profile cases · Advising clients with professionalism, sensitivity, and empathy · Undertaking advocacy where appropriate · Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the team · Building strong and lasting client relationships ABOUT YOU · Experience of both assisting on complex matters and running your own caseload · Strong experience across both children and financial work (essential) · Exposure to, or a strong interest in, international family matters (children and/or financial) · Advocacy experience or a clear willingness to develop in this area · Excellent communication and client care skills · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail · A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in being part of a high-performing team · A growing profile and enthusiasm to build your network BENEFITS Competitive Salary Flexible approach to working hours Hybrid working (2 days on site) Bupa/ Medicash Discretionary bonus opportunities Pension scheme Life Insurance & Income Protection Insurance 25 days Annual Leave plus flex bank holidays (increasing with service) Option to buy 10 additional days annual leave each year 2 My Days (in addition to your holiday entitlement) Additional discretionary annual leave days Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave Career Development Opportunities Wellbeing and Mental Health Benefit (24/7 Employment Assistance Program & Support) Agencies: We are not accepting CVs for this role as we are aiming to fill it directly.
