Associate Food Labeling Certifications Specialist

Reporting to the Labeling Certifications Manager, you will support food labeling, certification, and packaging compliance activities across the organization. You will partner with Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Marketing, Product Development, Legal, Government Affairs, and Brand Design teams to help ensure product labels, certifications, and packaging claims meet regulatory requirements and company standards. You will build expertise in food labeling, certifications, and regulatory affairs while supporting the commercialization of innovative food products. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Process ingredient and finished product documentation submissions to third-party certifiers and vendors; maintain accurate certification records in internal systems and certifier databases to support ongoing audit readiness.• Coordinate with external vendors, manufacturing facilities, Quality, and the Certifications team to obtain required documentation, resolve discrepancies, and support compliance with certification requirements.• Review finished product graphics and specifications for accurate use of third-party certification iconography, internally defined claims (e.g., vegan, Non-GMO), and packaging material recycling designations.• Review and authorize digital SmartLabel product pages for accuracy and timely publication in alignment with commercialization timelines.• Perform finished product reviews supporting regulatory disclosures (e.g., National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard) for new products and reformulations. Support process improvements that increase efficiency, speed, accuracy, and quality of certification activities. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree required; Food Science, Nutrition, Food Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields preferred. Experience in food labeling, regulatory affairs, quality, product development, nutrition, or a related field. Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration and United States Department of Agriculture food labeling requirements gained through education, internship, co-op, or professional experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with food labeling, ingredient statements, allergen labeling, Nutrition Facts panels, packaging claims, label review processes, or certification programs such as Kosher, Halal, Organic, or Non-GMO preferred. Experience with regulatory databases, product lifecycle management systems, or related compliance tools preferred. Collaborative, customer-focused approach with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. Physical Requirements Not applicable. This role does not work at or regularly visit manufacturing plants. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
