About the challenges:

Healthtech is one of Supernova Invest’s four investment domains, alongside the energy and agricultural transition, digital and industrial technologies. The Healthtech sector group brings together the investors who source, analyse and support healthtech companies (medtech, techbio, diagnostics, digital health) across our funds, from seed to growth. This position, based in Grenoble or Paris, strengthens the group with an investor who combines a scientific background with a first experience of deals. You report to a Partner of the group and work daily with its Investment Directors, from deal sourcing to the investment committee and the life of the portfolio, in a team where progression is fast and where potential counts as much as the path already travelled.

Description of typical missions:

As Associate, Healthtech sector (M/F), you manage the deal flow of your scope autonomously, contribute to high-quality sourcing in France and Europe, and deliver reliable, well-argued investment analyses, from first assessment to formal review. You report to a Partner and work with the Investment Directors of the Healthtech sector group.

Your main missions will be to:

  • Manage the healthtech deal flow of your scope: qualification of opportunities, first assessments, follow-up of deals in advanced preparation, together with the Investment Directors of the group.

  • Analyse investment opportunities: qualitative and financial analysis (investment memo, financial modelling, simple due diligence), with an investor’s eye on the technology, the product and the business model.

  • Contribute to the formal review of deals: coordination of part of the due diligence, cap table and waterfall, preparation of investment committees.

  • Source deals and grow your network: in France and Europe, at conferences and key events of the healthtech ecosystem, with entrepreneurs, research centres and co-investors, representing Supernova Invest.

  • Contribute to the sector group and to fund LP relations: sector analyses, market and technology watch, preparation of committees and reporting.

  • Support the Investment Directors in their day-to-day responsibilities: portfolio monitoring, refinancing and potential exit transactions, preparation of Board meetings and, where appropriate, participation in Board meetings alongside the Investment Director.

  • Lead a cross-functional project: one project of the management company each year, alongside the deal work.

The goal is not that you have already exercised all these dimensions at once: what matters is an investor’s mindset, comfort with numbers and with innovative technologies, and the wish to grow towards Investment Manager according to clear criteria.

This role is for you if:

  • You have an investor’s mindset: at ease with innovative technologies, products and business models without being techno-push, you ask what the market, the team and the returns will be.

  • You are at ease with numbers and financial models: you build and challenge a business plan, a valuation or a cap table.

  • You form and defend a view: you structure a question, weigh the evidence and share your convictions clearly, in writing and in committee.

  • You are a team player: you run several deals in parallel with the Investment Directors without losing the thread, and you like learning from senior investors.

  • You recognise yourself in a demanding but caring environment, where progression and potential are valued as much as the path already travelled: you may not have ticked every box, but you are ready to learn fast, put yourself forward and take on responsibilities.

  • You are perfectly fluent in English, written and spoken, and comfortable in French; an international background is a plus.

Profile sought:

Contract: permanent (CDI), executive status (cadre)

To be filled in January 2027

Education, must have: scientific degree (chemistry, biotechnology, biology), generalist engineering degree from a leading school, pharmacist or medical doctor

Experience, must have: 2 to 3 years of experience in an investment fund, a strategy or innovation consulting firm, or a company in the healthtech sector (medtech, techbio, diagnostics, digital health)

Education, nice to have: complementary master’s degree in finance or MBA, or a professional track in finance or innovation

Nice to have: studies or professional experience abroad

Languages: French and perfectly fluent English

Location: Grenoble or Paris (Saint-Lazare)

Proposed compensation: package between €57k and €71k, base salary plus a 15% variable component.

Eligibility for carried interest in new funds.
