We are seeking an Associate Java Software Engineer to contribute to our Framework software systems engineering team. As an Associate Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software using the Java programming language. You’ll collaborate with other developers, product owners and clients to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions in AWS Cloud environments and on-premises solutions. The Framework layer of Landmark is a Java-based software solution that offers a development environment to create business applications and subsequently deploy the applications in a runtime environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Java Framework that provides Landmark applications with core runtime services, including action request processing and execution, asynchronous request management and scheduling, auditing and effective-dated (temporal) data, business object evaluation and access paths, data replication to internal and external targets such as Data Lake and ION, and integrations with third-party libraries and interfaces Are you eager to learn how a large-scale platform works from the inside out? A Typical Day in the Life Includes: Maintain and enhance Landmark Java Framework software Code and test Java software Highly organized with the ability to triage and prioritize issues independently Debug complex issues and code involving multiple stakeholders and technologies Development Processes (Daily Team Collaboration, Planning, Backlog Refinement, Demos) Delivering long-term solutions that result in higher developer productivity and quality Basic Qualifications: o Proven track record of successfully implementing Java-based solutions in complex and high-volume business environments that deliver long-term solutions that enhance developer productivity and software quality o Deep knowledge of Java programming principles including test driven development and debugging o Strong understanding of enterprise resource planning systems architecture and financial software functionalities o Adept at leveraging Java to build reliable, scalable, and efficient systems that support extensive business processes and financial operations Preferred Qualifications: o Sumo, Splunk Query and Dashboard expertise o Git, Jira, and Confluence experience o Landmark Pattern Language (LPL) knowledge o Scripting experience utilizing perl, python, bash, groovy, go o Database (SQL, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL) knowledge o Familiarity with Infor CloudSuite Landmark-based products o Experience working in small teams but interacting with many external stakeholders / customers o Ability to do rapid prototyping and iterative development
